Our players
Newport Indoor Bowls Centre is a prime indoor bowling facility in South East Wales. Our membership is wide-ranging, from beginners to world championship players who have represented Wales and the United Kingdom. Among our most successful players are Amy Williams, Kerry and Kelly Packwood, Gavin Abraham, Mike Dick and Ryan Boots.

Our facilities
- A new bowling carpet and LED lighting, installed in 2025.
- Bowls and shoes to hire, for members and visitors, for casual bowling.
- The Glebelands Café and bar, serving morning, midday and Sunday lunches to order.
- A clubhouse and a refurbished conference room, both available for hire.
- Para bowls and junior coaching with our internationally acclaimed coaches.
Membership and visitors
Our membership rates are very reasonable: £80 a year, with rink fees of £6 per person per two-hour session for members and £8 for non-members. We are always keen to welcome new members, and guests and visitors are welcome at any time.
Function room hire
The function room in the centre is available for hire for all kinds of events. For full details, please contact the Events Manager through our contact form (choose “Function room hire”).
Volunteer stewards wanted
The centre needs more stewards, ideally people who would also be willing to help behind the bar. If you think you can help, please speak to reception.
Never bowled before?
Trial sessions are free, and bowls and shoes are available to hire.
